Newcastle midfielder Jonas Gutierrez appears close to leaving the club after he tweeted goodbye to the club's supporters.
The Argentinian joined the club from Real Mallorca on a five-year contract in the summer of 2008 and has made 195 appearances for the club.
The 30-year-old has played only twice this season though, starting the 4-0 defeat by Manchester City on the opening weekend of the campaign.
He also came on as a substitute in the 2-1 Premier League victory at Cardiff on 5 October but his time at St James' Park appears to be drawing to a close.

Gutierrez tweeted: "It was an honour and a pleasure to play with the Newcastle shirt and to have the support of the Geordie."
After receiving a number of replies, he added: "Thanks for the messages. I enjoy my 5 years at the club, I hope the club finish the highest this season and the best to my team-mates."
Chris Hughton was the United manager who brought him to Tyneside, leading to speculation Gutierrez may rejoin his former boss at Norwich.
