FIFPRO Team of the Year named at Ballon D'Or ceremony

The FIFPRO Team of the Year has been announced as part of the Ballon D'Or award ceremony in Zurich.
Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo and Franck Ribery are nominated for the prestigious player of the year award and all three have been included in the team of the year.

But despite five British players having the names put forward, none appeared in the final XI.
Ashley Cole, Leighton Baines, Steven Gerrard, Wayne Rooney and Gareth Bale were in the running but none was considered worthy of a place in the dream team.

Phillip Lahm (B Munich)

Thiago Silva (PSG)
Dani Alves (Barcelona)
Andres Iniesta (Barcelona)
Xavi (Barcelona)
Franck Ribery (Bayern Munich)
Cristiano Ronaldo (Real Madrid)
